One day in 1984, Otto Vowinkel decided to become a guitar builder. He
bought a pile of wood, a saw, a chisel, a pot of glue and the book “How
to Build a Classical Guitar". After six months of perseverance and
sleepless nights and days, he managed to create something that was shaped
like a guitar. Encouraged buy the result he started on the next one. Since
he had no teacher he showed his latest specimen to anyone who had anything
to do with guitar playing. With their comments in mind, he began building
his next one, and so on...
This turned out to be a perfect methode.
Today, Otto Vowinkel is a household name in the world of the classical guitar; a renowed luthier with customers all over the world. He is also a much sought-after lecturer in Europe, North and South America, Asia and South Africa.
